I don't dare to ask you why you wear yourself like a coat All wrapped up in changing weather and you're putting on the ghost But still it's more than time it's more than all these things combined You know you got it right although it's only in your mind awakened How can you fix what isn't broken the pieces all sprawled out on the floor Just glue it up and forget about it girl but I know you wanted more But still it's more than time it's more than all these things combined You know you got it right although it's only in your mind awakened

Yeah, I Know 03:12
Take it slow on the overpass Dirty windows following Down illogical fears Faceless / time to start Walking away when you were foolish Trying to save when you don't have enough Yeah I know, I know Yeah I know, I know Yeah I know, I know you don't want to stay One drop and then again Only friends can clear the dust And hold it over your body And wash it all away Wringing your hands through all the changes Getting there slow / taking the detour home Yeah I know, I know Yeah I know, I know Yeah I know, I know you don't want to stay More than just talking shapes All that you know and all you don't know Don't ask me now, 'cause I can't help you

You are the hall of mirrors in the back of my head And every time you know I'd climb those stairs to the end Just to see the house of colors you built when you were younger And to know the noise of those crooked words That everyone says It wasn't quite right I know I was wrong I know I was wrong Staying home I know you feel this, too Watch the words fall from your ceiling You changed the paint, but can't change this feeling I began to notice every change in me And you're still painting circles faithfully Holed up in the house of colors you built when you were younger You'll never know the noise of those crooked words Watch the words fall from your ceiling You changed the paint, but can't change this feeling

My House 02:57
Walking down the road you know Left is right you left off at the show Put your trust in anyone you've seen in town Tired of feeling yesterday Love ain't gonna make it all ok Try to be like anyone you know by name right now Shake the anchor down Clever in your doubt Where you're hiding our My house, your house is too small Drinking from the echo's sound In between the thoughts we hadn't found Lighting up the teeth that grin in achey mouths Hand it to those names you know Pitching dirty water at the snow Try to feel like yesterday is breathing on its own Shake the anchor down Clever in your doubt Where you're hiding out My house, your house is too small What is real and what is true Arrows pointed red or blue Kiss me I'm cut up across the county lines Walking down the road you know Where left is right you left off at the show Try to be like anyone you know by name right now

Lemon Sun 04:40
Lemon in the sky is full Every time you wake up I love you more tomorrow Taking out a second chance Salted collar, relay race Dancing to the heartbreak Know your man was throwing it out Hold a stand, evidenced how Rearranged like only you would know Holding space in heaven Measure twice, make the cut Movie scenes, short enough Linger left of knowing Lemon in the sky is full Itty bitty wanderer Dancing through the heartbreak Know your man was throwing it out Hold a stand, evidenced how Rearranged like only you would know Holding space in heaven Are you waiting out the night until it's over you wake up? Are you waiting out the year 'til it gets better and you're used up? Are you waiting out the clock until you're older and you give up? Are you waiting for somebody just to tell 'em they're your favorite one?

about

Recorded live to four track over the course of a few sessions, this lo-fi EP captures the raw and warbling, sometimes out of tune, sometimes haunted mental spaces in which these songs were born as told by the angles between the wall and the ceiling in the room where they were conceived. Out of the yearning of a tumultuous year came the drive to create and share these particular songs that mark the beginning of something bigger.

Special thanks to Louis for all of his help on this project from start to finish dating back to when my songs were incoherent seedlings, Hope Allen for the guitar that allowed me to write all of these songs, Rachel Angel for lending me her four track tape recorder, The Housle family, and all of the countless other people who have supported and inspired me along the way.
